The Order of Prince Stéphano I (Anserisan: Ordemo do Princio Stéphano I) is an award bestowed by the exiled princely House of Anserisa which has since been able to return to the Republic of Anserisa without any noble titles. It is awarded to people normally sympathetic to the descendent of the House of Anserisa and to other nobles.

It is the highest dynastic award of Anserisa. The award is not limited to Anserisans and can be awarded to civilians and military personnel and worn on the uniform. It was established in 1736 by Stéphano VI, then Prince of Anserisa. It is the only surviving order from the Principality of Anserisa.

The Order of Prince Stéphano I is of the highest value in Anserisa but since it is rarely bestowed and mostly to people who are sympathetic with the descendants of the House of Anserisa. As such, the Order of Anserisa is widely regarder as the highest award that can be given to an Anserisan citizen. The order is then rarely shown by people since it is associated with royalism which is frowned upon in Anserisa.

Eligibility and appointment

The head of the House of Anserisa, as Grand Master of the Order of Prince Stéphano I, is bestowing the award to people deemed sympathetic to the cause of the princely House of Anserisa and to people who are remarkable enough that such an award makes sense to be bestowed to them.

There are no citizenship or age requirement for receiving the Order. Only the will and the decision of the head of the House of Anserisa is necessary. There have been speculations of corruption and people buying their way to receive the order, especially by Stéphano XI Anserisum in the 1950's but this was widely denounced by the noble family.
