Politics
Luzhnychka is a constitutional elective monarchy featuring a strong executive leader called a Tsar and a unicameral legislature known as the Stanak. The political system combines centralized executive authority with democratic oversight mechanisms, designed to maintain both effective leadership and accountability.
Executive branch
The Tsar serves as both head of state and head of government, holding extensive authority over national governance. The Tsar is elected by popular vote and remains in office until death or upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 55. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to be eligible. Once elected, the Tsar governs without term limits, although they remain subject to constitutional removal mechanisms.
All legislation passed by the Stanak must be formally signed into law by the Tsar. The Tsar has the right to veto legislation, effectively blocking it unless overridden by specific procedures (which may or may not exist, depending on constitutional interpretation). This requirement for royal assent ensures that the Tsar plays a central role in the legislative process and reinforces the executive’s dominance in the political system.
Despite this concentration of power, the Tsar is not above oversight. The Stanak may initiate impeachment proceedings if it determines the Tsar to be unfit for office due to misconduct, incapacity, or other serious concerns. A successful impeachment, confirmed by a national referendum, leads to the Tsar’s forced abdication and triggers a new election.
Legislative branch
The Stanak is Luzhnychka’s unicameral legislature, composed of members elected every four years. Voting is open to all citizens aged 21 and older, with early enfranchisement at age 18 for individuals who have completed military or substitute civilian service, regardless of gender.
The Stanak is responsible for drafting and passing laws, but these do not take effect without the Tsar’s signature. In addition to its legislative role, the Stanak functions as:
- An body empowered to hold the executive accountable;
- An advisory council, consulted by the Tsar on major matters of state;
- And, if necessary, an initiator of impeachment proceedings, particularly in cases of dereliction of duty or decline in fitness to govern.
Autonomous Krajs (AK) and Krajinas (K)

Krajina
An Krajina is a type of administrative division in Luzhnychka. The term krajina is often translated into English as 'country' or 'march'. Luzhnychka has three Krajinas: Luzhnychka, Southern Mahazhovia and Western Krajina.
Autonomous Kraj
An Autonomous Kraj is a type of administrative unit in Luzhnychka created after the fourth Mahazhovian war. It was created for the cultural, linguistic and ethnic preservation. The Autonomous Krajs have the same status as the Krajinas of Lužnychka and they are: Shwabia, Orvaria and the North-Western Autonomous Kraj.
Economics
Demographics
As of the latest census, Luzhnychka has an estimated population of 24,600,000 with a population desntiy of 123 people per km². The country is predominantly ethnically Luzhnychkan, with ethnic minorities concentrated in designated autonomous regions. Luzhnychka is considered ethnically homogeneous by international standards, though constitutionally recognized minority groups maintain a degree of cultural and administrative autonomy.
Ethnic groups
According to official figures, 89.7% of the population identify as Luzhnychkan. Minority groups include Shwabiens (3.4%), Orvars (3.3%), and Arabs (2.2%), with the remaining 1.4% comprising other ethnic groups and individuals of mixed heritage.
Ethnic minorities are primarily concentrated in three autonomous administrative regions known as Autonomous Krajs:
- The Autonomous Kraj of Shwabia, in the west, is home to the Shwabian population.
- The Autonomous Kraj of Orvaria, in the southeast, encompasses most of the Orvar community.
- The North-Western Autonomous Kraj serves as the cultural and political center for Luzhnychka’s Arab population.
Each Kraj has limited self-governance in areas such as education, cultural affairs, and regional media. Luzhnychkan is the sole official language at the national level, while Shwabian, Orvar, and Arabic are recognized as co-official languages within their respective krajs.
From 1910 to 1982, Luzhnychka implemented a policy of Odvojenost (“separateness”), which imposed ethnic segregation and was formally abolished following the conclusion of the Fourth Mahazhovian War with minority rights being expanded under a new constitutional framework.
Languages
Luzhnychkan is the sole official language of Luzhnychka and is used in national government, education, and media. It is the mother tongue of the vast majority of the population and functions as a unifying element in public life.
In addition to Luzhnychkan, several regional languages hold co-official status within their respective Autonomous Krajs:
- Shwabian in the Autonomous Kraj of Shwabia
- Orvar in the Autonomous Kraj of Orvaria
- Arabic in the North-Western Autonomous Kraj
These languages are used in local administration, education, and cultural institutions. Bilingual signage and government services are common in these regions. While fluency in Luzhnychkan is widespread across all ethnic groups, many minority communities maintain strong linguistic traditions in their respective native languages.
Alman is commonly taught as foreign languages in secondary education, particularly in Shwabia.
Religion
Luzhnychka is a secular state with constitutional protections for freedom of religion. The population is religiously diverse, though the majority is Sunni Muslim, which has historically played a central role in the country's identity.
Urbanisation
The largest and capital city is Brdo Lužničko.
