Austra, formally the Kingdom of Austra, is an archipelagic country located in the Rainbow Islands. It consists of two larger islands - Ancia and Nessex, as well as many smaller islands and islets. The capital is Vixbridge and is located on Ancia; it is also the largest city on Ancia and Austra's largest city. The largest city on Nessex is Sorcester.
Austra was founded as a personal union between Ancia and Nessex. Overpopulation and early advances in shipbuilding and oceanic navigation enabled a fast expansion of the territory and the founding of colonies across the South Pacific. During the 15-19th centuries, the Austral Empire was one of the world's most powerful and influential nations. By the early 20th century the empire collapsed.
