RP-019/T is the nineteenth Ruined Planet discovered by the Celestial Empire Of Galactya. First located and explored in 3189 BBT during Era 2, it's now a Protected Site.

Position

RP-019/T orbits a G2 V Yellow Dwarf star called Ehithya, located approximately 19.5 light years from the Crus-Lux System. The star is located in Quadrant 11, in one of less denser parts of the Region.

Classification and Characteristics

RP-019/T is a medium sized telluric planet. It has a relatively strong magnetic field, generated by the convective motions of its molten inner metallic core. This also means that it is a tectonic planet; 7 main plates have been identified so far, as well as many smaller ones, that are all in constant movement. This also causes notable volcanic and tectonic activity in certain areas of the planet, which have over time partly damaged the ruins in that area. The atmosphere is mainly composed of nitrogen and oxygen, with a notable component of argon, as well as small quantities of other gases, like carbon dioxide and methane.

The planet orbits it’s star in the Goldilocks Zone; therefore water is present in all 3 of its main physical states on the surface and underground. The planet’s surface is 70.8% covered by water, and the remaining 29.2% by continents. The water vapor is also responsible for the formation of large white atmospheric formations that cover a notable part of the planet’s surface when seen from space.

The planet has an average temperature of 15°C, with the opposite extremes of the temperature spectrum at the poles (coldest) and at the equator (hottest).

RP-019/T’s axial tilt allows for the existence of four seasons, which regularly repeat during the planets orbit. The first one has medium temperatures and notable humidity, the second one has high temperatures and low humidity, the third one has low-medium temperatures and notable humidity, and the fourth one low temperatures and medium humidity.

The surface is covered by green vegetation that uses chlorophyll to absorb and convert starlight into nutrients for sustenance. The vegetation’s size varies greatly, from small grasses a few centimeters tall, to some special cases of trees arriving to more than 30 meters in height. The planet also hosts a very diverse ecosystem, with preys and predators, all in a strangely stable balance.

Satellites

RP-019/T has one satellite, (RP-019/T)-1. The satellite is unusually large compared to its planet, and therefore orbits at a large distance from it, completing an orbit every 27.3 Galactyan days. The satellite is tidally locked with RP-019/T, always having one side facing towards it, with slight oscillations. The satellite has been visibly, although haphazardly terraformed, and now sports atmospheric characteristic similar to those of its mother planet. The surface is covered in the rests of abandoned cities and colonies overgrown with green vegetation.

Ruins

Being a Ruined Planet, RP-019/T is covered in the rests of large and advanced cities, collapsing and overgrown by vegetation. Scientists have estimated some of the buildings to be 10000+ years old, meaning that, regardless of their ruined state, they have an incredible resistance to atmospheric and vegetative corrosion. RP-019/T is also the most advanced Ruined Planet ever discovered, it’s ruins being as advanced as current Galactyan infrastructure. To protect it and it’s satellite, it has been declared a Protected Site.
