The Orharoil Group (also known as Orharoil) is an orharanian energy company headquartered in Orhar, Orharan. It is a publicly traded state-owned enterprise operating mostly in Orharan itself. It was founded in 1977 by the orharanian government and holds a monopoly on the production of oil and natural gases within orharan. It is the biggest company and employer in Orharan employing a total of 118.575 employees. The name Orharoil is a simple combination of Orharan, indicating the origin, and oil showing off the industry the company operates. It therefore can simply put as "Orharan Oil".

The company owns subsidiaries in different fields, tied to the generation of energy and refinement of oil, like Orharoil Trans, which is in charge of all transport operation, from the oil wells, over the refineries all the way to maritime transport exporting pretrochemical products into the world.

Orharoil operates oilfields all around the nation with most of them being found in the eastern, rual parts, of Orharan. It is the sole operator in Orharan itself.

Involvement with Orharanian Government

The orharanian government holds 70% of the share, giving it a majority control of the company. With this ability to manage Orharoil the company is often subjected to political debates within the country. Given that most of the companies profits go directly into the National Health Insurance of Orharan and that it is also the biggest employer in the nation, those debates often resolve around those two topics. Most recent debates touching Orharoil resolve about it's sustainability and the secruity of jobs.
