The prime minister of Valkyria is the head of government, the head of the Cabinet, the head of the Valkyrian Defence Council, and the foremost executive authority of the Defence Force in Valkyria. While the prime minister is appointed by the jarl or jarlskona of Valkyria by convention, they are elected by instant-runoff voting among the members of the Stortinget, who is usually a member of the governing party or bloc.
