Dawod Durant (or David Durant in Austral) is the 18th president of  Alcoalitania. He served as a soldier in the Coalitanian Armed Forces for 6 years.(2008 - 2014). After that, he became a politician became the Prime Minister, and won the presidential election in 2020.

Early Life

Mr. David Durant was born into a middle class working family. He was an only child, and was frequently spoiled by his parents.[1] David Durant's mother, was a housewife while his dad was the owner of a small bakery in East Pai'an. David started school in the Makea Primary School in East Pai'an in which he'd score top of his class. David was known for his talent, and would be seen by his parents researching political topics, ideologies and beliefs when he was only 9.[2] After finishing primary school at the age of 12, David moved to Pai'anian Secondary School and later graduated with a diploma.

After completing secondary school, David Durant decided to take 2 years off to get a job and help his parents pay for his university degree. His first job ever was working at his dad's baker (The Durant Bakery). He worked there for 2 years. At the age of 19, he took out a student loan and attended the National University of Cintralia. Allegedly, this was very expensive on the Durant family's end, as he had to move to Cintralia (which costed at the time around 1,000 C$ as well as 5,000 C$ for transportation, food and other supplies) as well as pay for his degree. David Durant got a bachelor's degree after 4 years, and then got into the master program and got a master's degree in 2 years.

Even after getting a master's degree in political science, David Durant felt stuck for a while on what he wanted to do. As he felt more confused, he decided to complete his mandatory service as well as enlist in the army so that "he has something to do[3]")

David Durant joined the military, and completed his 1 year of mandatory service. After that, he decided to continue for another 5 years. His salary as a soldier made his life a lot easier, but he still wanted more glory and success even after commanding the 66th Army of the Coalitanian Army as a General. He lawfully discharged in the year 2014.

Note that promotions in the CAF sometimes do not take a year, and the promotions in between these years might be significantly different

First year: 30,000 C$ + 7,000 C$ extra for conscription. (annual: 37,000 C$)

Second year, third and fourth year: 37,000 C$ (Promotion to Sergeant), 50,000 C$ (Promotion to Lieutenant), 100,000 C$ (Promotion to Lieutenant Colonel), 150,000 C$ (appointed as replacement General for a year)

Total: 374,000 C$ (in comparison, that is enough to buy a rural home in Cintralia and live comfortably after for 5 years and 2 months.)

Career as a politician

After serving in the military and having enough money to start off his political career, David Durant decided to pursue his dream of being a politician. He successfully won the Cintralia mayor elections in 2015, and served for 2 years until becoming the Prime Minister in a remarkable move due to his awe-inspiring political campaign with the CNP in 2017.

After serving for Prime Minister for 3 years, David Durant wanted something bigger. He decided to run for president in the 2020 elections and won with a 78% vote rate.
