Daemyonin is one of the principal language of the Hinomoto language family spoken by the Daemyonin people. It has around 47 million speakers, primarily in Daemyo, the only country it is the national language, and within the Daemyonin diaspora worldwide.
The Daemyonin writing system combines Hinomoto characters, known as kanji (漢字, 'Han characters'), with two unique syllabaries (or moraic scripts) derived by the Daemyonins from the more complex Hinomoto characters: hiranaga (ひらがな or 平仮名, 'simple characters') and katanaka (カタカナ or 片仮名, 'partial characters'). Austral script (rōmaji ローマ字) is also used in a limited fashion (such as for imported acronyms) in Daemyonin writing. The numeral system uses mostly Austral numerals, but also traditional Hinomoto numerals.
