The '''displacement field shield''' is a ship shielding system currently in use on [[Treecuu Armed Forces (A1-0)|Treecuu military ships]]. The density of the warp bubble (i.e. the displacement field) generated by the warp engine is manipulated so that incoming projectiles or beams are destroyed or deflected. The system is generally believed to have a good effect on most projectiles and beams but objects that are travelling at warp that manage match the properties of the displacement field can enter unharmed. The displacement field may also be penetrated by beams that hit its surface at a nearly perfectly perpendicular angle.

The displacement field shield is a ship shielding system currently in use on Treecuu military ships.
