The Gianlucischer Wirtschaftsindex (GIWIX; Gianlucian Economic Index) is a stock market index containing of the 50 major Gianlucian blue chip companies trading at the Osttor stock exchange. It is a total return index. GIWIX measures the performance of the listed companies in terms of order book volume and market capitalization.

It was founded by the Gianlucian Ministry of Economy in 1976 to replace the local stock exchanges of Nordtor, Westtor, Osttor and Neustadt, creating a method to compare the value of the Gianlucian Republic's economy within the world. It started from a base value of 1,000 points and with 30 constituents. In 1992 the Ministry of Economy has founded the GIWIX ÖA and transferred all operational tasks to this public agency. Although not a private company, the GIWIX ÖA can sustain itself without any public funding. In 2011, after the incorporation of Atlantis, the number of constituents in the index rose to 50. Nowadays the GIWIX portrays around 80% of the market capitalization within the Gianlucian economy. Due to the small company selection, the index does not necessarily represent the vitality of the Gianlucian economy as a whole.
