Information
Structure and Organization
The CAF operates under the Ministry of Defense, led by the Minister of Defense. The armed forces are organized into several branches, each with specific roles and responsibilities:
- Coalitanian Army: Responsible for ground-based military operations. It is the largest branch, focused on land defense and operations.
- Coalitanian Navy: Responsible for maritime defense and operations, including the protection of territorial waters and coastlines.
- Coalitanian Air Force: Manages aerial defense and operations, including air surveillance, transport, and combat missions.
- Military Police: Ensures discipline within the armed forces and provides law enforcement services in military areas.
- National Guard: Serves as a reserve force and is responsible for domestic emergencies, natural disasters, and internal security.
Leadership
The CAF is led by the Chief of Defense Staff, who oversees all branches of the military. Each branch has its own commander:
- Chief of Defense Staff: General Alexandros Tzimas
- Commander of the Army: General Marcus Laurent
- Commander of the Navy: Admiral Henryk Schmidt
- Commander of the Air Force: Air Marshal Gabriella Montoya
- Commander of the Military Police: General General Liam Adams
- Commander of the National Guard: General Nora Kazmierczak
Military Service
Military service is mandatory for all male citizens between the ages of 18 and 49. Conscripts serve a one-year term, after which they receive a stipend. Enlisting voluntarily in the CAF counts towards fulfilling mandatory service requirements, with enlisted soldiers receiving higher pay and benefits.
- Monthly Salary for Conscripts: 2,000 USD
- Additional Stipend upon Completion: 7,000 USD
Personnel
The CAF boasts a significant number of active personnel, reflecting Alcoalitania's commitment to maintaining a robust defense force. The total number of active military personnel is approximately 87,384 and 345,305 reserves.
Equipment and Capabilities
The CAF is equipped with modern weaponry and technology, including tanks, aircraft, naval vessels, and advanced communication systems. Regular training exercises and international military cooperation ensure the readiness and effectiveness of the armed forces.
Missions and Operations
The primary mission of the CAF is to defend Alcoalitania against external threats. Additionally, the armed forces participate in international peacekeeping missions, humanitarian aid operations, and disaster response efforts.
Historical Background
The CAF has a rich history, playing a crucial role in the defense and development of Alcoalitania. The military has evolved over the years, adapting to new technologies and strategies to remain a formidable force in the region. The predecessor of the CAF is the West Alcoalitanian Army, which later united with the east to form the CAF.
Strategies
Each branch in the CAF consists of 100 units each, which are each commanded by a selected individual. Every 100 units forms a branch (ie. Navy). A Unit Commander (Brigadier General) commands 1 unit, while the Divisional Commander (General) commands all 100 units as well as overseeing Unit Commanders.
Since the CAF is heavily divided into smaller forces, they use guerilla tactics to flank their enemy. Guerilla tactics have been used in all Coalitanian wars, dating back to 1552.
