Dr. Gerno Efæn, born 18. October 1962 is an Efladian politician serving as President of Eflad since 16 November 2017. He was previously Minister of Finance from 2007 to 2011, as well as Federal Minister of Fredoast from 2001 to 2007.
Efæn is a member of the Socialist Party of Eflad (SPE) and holds a doctorate in law. Following the 2007 federal election, Efæn became Minister of Finance in the first socialist government under Ivanoa. In 2008, he briefly served as acting chairman of his party. He was the SPE's candidate for chancellor in the 2011 federal election, but his party lost the election and he left the federal cabinet to become leader of the SPE's faction.
Following the 2011 federal election, he became leader of oppositon in a new Liberal-Green coalition. In 2016 his party formed a coalition with the Technocratic Party of Eflad. In November 2016 he was announced as the candidate for the President of Eflad by the coalition. He was elected president by the Federal Forum on 16 November 2017 with 78% of the vote. Efæn belongs to the right wing of the SPE, being more moderate.
