Dainēsa State Technical University (Dainēsa Technical, DSTU, or DGTU) is a public research university located in Dainēsa, Pelinai. DSTU is the largest and oldest university in the DSU system, and offers bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and Ph.D.s in a wide variety of STEM fields.
Dainēsa Technical presently shares some of its manufacturing technology facilities with Dainēsa State Vocational University, as well as a student transfer standardization agreement that allows DGPU students to transfer to Dainēsa Technical as second-year undergraduates after completing an associate degree in engineering, science, or applied sciences.
History
Academics
Dainēsa Technical is the largest research university in Pelinai by number of concurrently enrolled students; it is primarily known for its programs in electronics, mechanical, and aerospace engineering, as well as in mineralogy and optical sciences.
DGTU practices the Pelinese University System. Conventional classes are arranged to be taken as blocks of 8 credit hours per semester, and are intended to be performed alongside an additional 4-6 recognized credit hour-equivalents such as University-sponsored internships, lab hours, design projects, and other practical experience activities.

Libraries and databases
The library system of Dainēsa Technical possesses approximately 5.1 million books in combined physical and digital formats, primarily centered around the topics of engineering and natural sciences but also including some collections of classic literature. A wide variety of STEM-related research journals and trade magazines, yearly updated reference works, and statistical databases are also available.
University students, alumni, and employees are afforded free access to the DGTU Unified Library System’s collection of works in person or electronically, while extra-university individuals are offered access through registration for a library card.
Student clubs and organizations
Engineering clubs
Dainēsa Technical possesses a wide variety of engineering-focused student clubs for the purposes of satisfying extracurricular activities requirements, providing students with networking opportunities and practical experience in designing and manufacturing engineering products, and allowing students to compete in various university-level, regional, and national design competitions organized by educational and professional organizations. Representative examples of such oriented clubs include the Model Aircraft Club, the Rocketry Club, the Land Vehicle Racing Club, the Electronics Club, the Radio & Radar Club, and the Machining & Metalworking Club. Recorded, significant participation in a University-certified engineering club qualifies for class credits, and both new and current clubs are regularly audited to ensure compliance with certification standards.
Premilitary programs
Like most high schools and universities in Pelinai, Dainēsa Technical possesses an active chapter of the Pelinese National Sports-Technical Association to encourage physical activity and fitness, organize competitive sports, and to provide training in basic military skills and in military-related technical subjects.
Professional association chapters
All member associations of the Pelinese All-Engineering Union, such as the Pelinese Union of Mechanical Engineers, maintain student chapters at Dainēsa Technical for the purposes of recruiting new members, organizing association-run engineering competitions, and generally promoting their respective associations. Other professional organizations with significant on-campus presence include the Pelinese Society of Machine-Builders, the Institute of Metalworkers and Machinists, and the Pelinese Welders’ Association.

Dainēsa Technical’s university baseball team is the Dainēsa Mountaineers, which competes at the collegiate level in Pelinai. It has won a total of three national college baseball championships, and is currently ranked as the 17th best collegiate baseball team in the Pelinese University Baseball League.
Publications
Book publishing
The publishing house of Dainēsa Technical is DGTU Publishing House, which primarily publishes textbooks, technical reference books, and other similar works which have been authored by DSTU faculty. Books published by DGTU-PH are available in electronic form for free, and as such are commonly used in Pelinese industry and in other Pelinese educational institutions.
