Land Forces Command
- Platoon: The smallest unit commanded by a commissioned officer. Composed of five squads of nine, with five headquarters officers. 50 soldiers.
- Company: The primary unit of the Army; soldiers are typically specialized at the battalion level. Composed of four platoons. No additional headquarters personnel. The commanding officer of a company is also the direct commander of one of the component platoons. 200 soldiers.
- Battalion: Typically composed of two companies. No additional headquarters personnel. The commanding officer of a company is also the direct commander of one of the component platoons. 400 soldiers.
- Regiment: Typically composed of two battalions, plus a command platoon. 850 soldiers.
- Brigade: Typically composed of four battalions, plus a command platoon. Battalions may be organized under either a regiment or a brigade, but typically not both. 1650 soldiers.
- Division: The largest unit of organization currently in use. Typically composed of four brigades, eight regiments, or some equivalent combination, plus a command platoon. 6650 to 6850 soldiers.
- Corps: Composed of three divisions, plus a command company. Only previously used in times of war. Typically composed of four divisions, plus a command company. 26800 to 27600 soldiers.
