”The Astjumrevi are strange like most terrestrials, but the ruling state of Astjumreva deserves a special note for its unusual composite governmental structure: the Astajiri and the Arevians are visibly distinct kingdoms, but the rulers of both are subordinate to a ‘High King’ in Kermid Jum that nominally rules over both states. That political unity evidently does not preclude the high degree of cultural separation that can be observed between Astajir and Arevia, though they do happen to share the same religion.”—Mei L’inakie, Compiled Notes on the Western Terrestrial States.
The High Kingdom of Astjumreva is a composite feudal state in eastern ((Continent here)), consisting of a central royalty ruling over the neighboring kingdoms of Astajir and Arevia. It extends across the Medirex Mountains from the Atan Plains in the south to the Great Shir Forest in the northeast, and shares borders with both the Bay of Skenel on its northwest and the neighboring Ghratos Union to its southeast.
Etymology
The name “Astjumreva” is a modified telescoping of the names of its two constituent kingdoms, Astajir and Arevia.
