The Bailtemmic Cooperative Investment Funds, or BCI Funds, are a collection of grant programs operated by the Bailtemmic Cooperation Organization for the purpose of furthering economic development, productivity, and regional interconnection in Bailtem and its surrounding regions. They are collectively directed under the office of the Bailtemmic Commission and distributed on an annual or triennial basis.

The BCI Funds are collectively one of the largest annual budget items of the Bailtemmic Cooperation Organization, with a total average annual expenditure of approximately INT$36.1 billion between 2020 and 2024.

Objectives

The enumerated objectives of the Bailtemmic Cooperative Investment Funds as stated in the BCO Regional Investment Initiative are:

  • The shared economic prosperity of all member states within the Bailtemmic Cooperation Organization, and within Bailtem as a whole.
  • The development of economic and transportation interconnectivity between member states and between the BCO & surrounding regions.
  • The liquidation of development disparities, environmentally damaged zones, and other compromised zones within the Bailtemmic Cooperation Organization.

Bailtemmic Environmental Fund

Bailtemmic Infrastructure Development Fund

The Bailtemmic Infrastructure Fund is a grant program used to further the regional connectivity and intra-regional trade objectives of the BCO by distributing investments in the construction and renovation of hard infrastructure such as roads, railways, seaports, and airports. Building projects that offer benefits to more than one BCO member state are prioritized for funding, though wholly internal projects are also eligible. Grants of the BIDF are distributed every 3 years and cover the 3 years after the distribution round.

Bailtemmic Regional Development Fund

The Bailtemmic Regional Development Fund is a grant program oriented towards the development of human capital and soft infrastructure within the BCO through the provision of healthcare, education, and sanitation investments within BCO member states. It primarily focuses on the development and renovation of hospitals, schools & universities, and water infrastructure. Grants under the BRDF are distributed every 3 years and prioritize developments in states with a lower GDP/capita and/or HDI value.

Bailtemmic Rural and Agricultural Development Fund

The Bailtemmic Rural and Agricultural Development Fund supports the development of agricultural and other rural activities in the BCO with investments into infrastructure and services in rural areas. Funding is distributed every year.

Special Dispensations

BCIF Special Dispensations are off-schedule investments for special projects outside of the normal cyclic framework. They are proposed by the Bailtemmic Council and approved by the Bailtemmic Commission.
