The Lampshade Galaxy (IPA: /læmp.ʃeɪd/), also known as NGC 1483, J03524760-4728390, or HIPASS, is a giant barred spiral galaxy with the diameter of about approximately 87.38 kiloparsecs or 285000 light years.

The Lampshade Galaxy has a virial mass of approximately 1.875 × 10¹² standard stellar masses.
