The Rejected Realms is the region to which ejected nations are sent, and from which nations cannot be banned or ejected. It was created in April 2003 as one of the game's original sinkers and has recently been officially labelled a Catcher. Its army is one of the oldest defender organizations in the game, though is technically independent of the government. The Rejected Realms is allied to the South Pacific through the Treaty of Peace and Amity and the January Accords (bilateral with the East Pacific).

Information for ambassadors

The Rejected Realms has scheduled elections, and also uses a challenge system in which a person can challenge an incumbent to their role. This means that delegate elections occur irregularly – a delegate is entitled to a term of six months, and if they are challenged and defeat the challenger, their term is reset to six months.

Four individuals are elected as officers, but their portfolio is chosen by the delegate. This can technically be anything but in recent times the Cabinet usually has Officers of Culture, World Assembly, Outreach, and Foreign Affairs.

The Editor in Chief is appointed irregularly.
