Federal Agencies
Federal Criminal Police Office
The Federal Criminal Police Office (Orharanian: Edareh Pelis Jenayi Fadral/EPJF) with it's headquarters located in Wazin, is the main domestic secruity agency, collecting and holding criminal intelligence. It assists the State Criminal Police Offices by coordinating cooperation between state police forces and investing on organizing crime. Whilst it's tasks are similar and often confused with BARRIER they both focus on different fields of secruity. Unlike BARRIER the EPJF mostly deals with organized crime as well as protecting members of constitutional institutions as well as federal witnesses. In some cases it can be requested by state authorities as well as directed by the Attorney General of Orharan to investigate large-scale cases. In both cases the EPJF may open up investigations or it may join existing once, for example if a case covers multiple states.
Bureau for Custom Affairs
The Bureau for Custom Affairs (Orharanian: Daftar Amor Gomrki/DAG) is the executive and fiscal administrative agency of the Ministry of Finance. It administers federal taxes, execute demands for payment on behalf of the federal government and federal statutory corporations,monitors cross border movements of goods and prevents ilicit work. It ensures the compliance with international and national trade rules and prevents the illegal import and export of goods like weapons, drugs or other forbidden items. It's headquarters are located in Tafii.
Foreign Intelligence Office of Orharan
The Foreign Intelligence Office of Orharan (Orharanian: edareh etlaat kharji orearan/SEKO) is the nations secruity agency specialized and restricted to investigating foreign threats. They cooperate with other secruity agencies both national and foreign ones in order to fight those external threats. Their methods consist of surveilance techniques applicable to international communications such as wiretapping as well as infiltration. Within SEKO there are multiple divisions tasked with differing objects such as foreign terrorism prevention or "foreign research", which means the espionage of nations that are percieved as hostile and threatening by the orharanian government.
B.A.R.R.I.E.R
BARRIER, (Acronym for: Bureau for Anti-terrorism Reconnaissance and Rapid Intervention Enforcement Response) is the federal secruity agency for domestic intelligence, concerned with espionage, treason, sedition and terrorism. It is split in two sub-divisions, BARRIER Division Raven and BARRIER Eagle Division. Whilst both division are part of BARRIER and administrated by it, they're organization is split into their respective fields. The split with both divisions can be explained with the seperation of powers and will be further explained with the functions of each division. It was founded in 1984 as a reaction to the bombing of the Al-Sader Hospital in Orhar by wazinian seperationists. BARRIER is constantly cooperating with SEKO especially in the field of terrorism.
Division Raven
Division Raven of BARRIER (or just Division Raven) is the main intelligence division of BARRIER, concentrating on the gathering of information on potential espionage, treason, terroristic and anti-constitutional activity. Whilst it is allowed to use differeng methods in order to gather intelligence it's main method is wiretapping and similar surveilance techniques applicable to international communications, it is also legally allowed to use infiltration and the usage of covert listening devices. However it always needs the classification of different organizations and single individuals as "Suspicious Behaviour", "probably anti-constitutional" and "anti-constitutional". The classification of every case is being done by BARRIER itself and has to be approved at the Grand Constitutionary Court of Orharan (GCC). The main purpose of Division Raven is the supply of evidence to create a legal basis for further operations especially enforcement operations by Division Eagle.
Division Eagle
Division Eagle of BARRIER (or just Division Eagle) is the enforcement division of BARRIER consisting of multiple Enforcement Squads that are ready at all times to be deployed. They are usually deployed to break up terrorist organizations within the nation. Their deployment also depends on the expectation of armed resistance and the urgency of a situation, which is why to this day it was only used against terrorists for example in hostage situations. However it can also be deployed against other "anti-constitutional" organizations if given the danger and urgency. Additionally in rare cases the National Police can request the assistance of Division Eagle, for example when the danger to civilian life is too big and the situation calls for experts. Whilst they have the duty to try anything to use undeadly force and arrest suspects they may use deadly force of the live of themselves or especially others is endangered. They first came to international recognition after their intervention in the taking of hostages on an orharanian oil rig in 1994.
