The first flag that can be considered a national Karnetvorian flag was the flag of the [[Battle of Monachia (Pacifica)|Karnetvorian Confederacy]] which was inherited from the Karnetvorian League after the unification of the Karnetvorian kingdoms in 1863. It was replaced by the first tricolour in 1873 which was inspired the tricolour of Karnetia, the leading Karnetvorian kingdom. Following the reformation into a monarchy in 1938, a horizontal tricolour was adopted with the same colours. It stayed in use until the monarchy was toppled in 1989 and replaced by a republic, when the same flag as the current one was adopted.

The flag of the Karnetvorian Royal Army was the ''de facto'' flag of Karnetvor during the [[Great War (Pacifica)|Great War]]. It featured the colours of the Karnetvorian Confederacy, relating to the military power it held. It also featured a crowned Karnetvorian eagle in a field of orange (orange was the colour of the royal house of Karnetia) and a crescent and star which were official symbols of the heir to the throne. The crown prince had been killed during a state visit to the TCC and the Army had sworn to avenge his death. The flag was in use between 1949-1955 and was banned after Karnetvor's defeat, seen as a symbol of Karnetvorian aggression and oppression.

Karnetvor was ruled by the Nationalist Regime between 2007-2013, which arranged the stripes differently and used the original colour shades. The flag featured the crescent and star, officially to symbolise progress, but in reality it was chosen because the Nationalists thought of themselves as heirs to the Karnetvorian Kingdom. After the republic had been restored, a version of the current flag was used without the eagle between 2012 and 2014.

The flag of Karnetvor is a horizontal tricolour of black, green, and red with a Karnetvorian eagle in its center. Known as the Trikolorii (Tricolour), it was used from 1989 (when the monarchy was substituted by a republic) to 2007 (when the Nationalist regime took power), and from 2014 to the present. The black strip represents the land and its resources; the green strip represents Karnetvor's natural beauty; the red strip represents the Karnetvorian people, and the eagle, besides being the national animal, represents freedom. The black, green and red colours have been used in the national flag since 1873.[1]

History

The first flag that can be considered a national Karnetvorian flag was the flag of the Karnetvorian Confederacy which was inherited from the Karnetvorian League after the unification of the Karnetvorian kingdoms in 1863.

The flag of the Karnetvorian Royal Army was the de facto national flag of Karnetvor during the Great War.
