The military of Sedunn has an extensive history, from the Duric city states to the contemporary Sedunnic Armed Forces, during which many different uniforms have been in use. The earliest attested uniform was a yellow dress worn by the Iradieran Guard of the city state of Loennvem. The first uniforms of a unified Sedunn were the blue dresses worn by the Republican Cavalry and the yellow uniform of the Grovne Guards, which had been inherited from the Iradieran Guard. Until the end of the 16th century, only standing units had uniforms, which could vary greatly in design and colour. With the introduction of conscription, a blue coat and grey or yellow pants were issued to all soldiers while some standing units retained their earlier colours.
During the 19th century, grey became the standard colour. The grey was made darker towards the second half of the century in an attempt to stand out less from the vegetation. The first uniforms with camouflage were introduced in 1939, and by the start of the Great War, all army units wore green camouflage. Since then, there has been two revisions of the camouflage pattern, including adaptions for foreign climates. Units with ceremonial duties have retained older uniforms for certain ceremonies, such as the memorial service performed by the Guard Infantry based in Grovne.
