The United Territories of The New Dacians (More commonly known as New Dacia, or simply Dacia) Is a nation in Northwestern Bailtem. It has a predominantly tropical climate, and an area of 376,909 km2 (115,589 sq mi) and a population of around 54 Million. The Executive capital is Bucharest and the Legaslative capital is Mihaila Iulia. The largest city is Czarigrad. Other important urban centers include Athena, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Constanța, Odessa, Brașov, Budapesta and Chișinău. The Danube river flows through the center of the country's mainland, essentially cutting it into 2 distinct cultural zones. The tallest mountain is Moldoveanu Peak in the Carpathian Mountains to the North, at an altitude of 2,544 m. New Dacia was de-facto formed in 1199 after the establishment of Paltorina, however it was de-jure founded in 1422 as Paltorina expanded. The nation was the cultural hub of the Dacian Empire, dominating much of the eastern Rainbow Islands and Northern Bailtem. However, the empire fell by 1877 as Slave revolts and economic stagnation plagued the nation. It entered a stage of isolation until 1959, when the Communist Revolution of Dacia took place and the Monarchist government had to flee to Uvalor and the Belvero territories.. Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej, the first leader of Communist New Dacia, ruled with a relatively fair hand, as the nation's influence increased and the economy rose as a result of the large-scale extraction of resources. However, Nicolae Ceaușescu (the 2nd Communist leader) ruled with an Iron fist, cracking down violently on uprisings. He had an estimated death toll of 140,000, however Dacian sources estimate they went up to 1,000,000. The 1989-1990 Dacian Revolution saw the return of the Monarchy-in-exile, and liberalization of the economy. New Dacia is a developed nation, with a high-income economy. New Dacia has seen rapid economic growth in recent years. Its most important industry is Agriculture, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Retail, Information Technology, Trout fishing, Arms Manufacturing and Dairy exports. The nation is a major exporter of Oil and Gas, however it's electricity grid is dominated by Nuclear (67%) and Hydropower (29%). The nation is a member of the World Assembly. The majority of its population speak Dacian, a language in the Bailtemic Romance Language group. Aegean is the 2nd most spoken language, mostly in the Southwestern coasts. It is spoken by roughly 20% of the population. Many Aegean families came from the Rainbow Islands during Imperial times.

History

Ancient Dacia

The first modern humans came to inhabit the lands now under Dacian territory in around 10,000 BC, at the same time of the agricultural revolution. The Gáva culture dominated these lands, living along the Western coast of Northwestern Bailtem and the Danube river.
