Millenia ago there was a large tribe of a pastoral civilization in northern Bailtem. The Tarnian people prospered, but some of these tribes decided to migrate south, others west and some even reaching south-west Cordilia. While their cultures diverged over the ages, variants of the League spoken are still discernable between the various nations.
Now that the world is becoming more and more connected, the different Tarnian nations are rekindling with their distant cousins. After the political instabilities of the late 20th century, these nations decided to band together to maintain peaceful relations with one another. Thus in 1996 the Tarnian League (Liga Târnească) was created at the Iașova Summit in Stoinia. There the nations agreed on the following to further strengthen the bonds between the distant relatives:
