"The Empire must live, Alice. I shan't allow you to send it...no, send us to our deaths. Farewell. Though I shall miss you dearly as my sister, my duty to the Empire, what you failed to do, comes first above all else. After all, we are princesses of the realm, and this has always been our purpose for existing. Long live the Empire!"
—Aurelia on her last recorded message to her sister just before embarking on the Imperial Exodus

Aurelia Maxima Ferra Ultra Albia Rosa Vera Ancoria Arzix Whiterose, better known as Empress Aurelia I, was a Ryccian royal in the Ryccian Empire shortly before the Democratic Revolution and the first monarch of the Imperial Remnant. The younger sister to Empress Alice, she was chosen as the next monarch by the Imperial Remnant as, by overthrowing the government, Alice had forfeited her right to the throne according to Remnant doctrine.

A fanatical humanocentrist like Peccatrix, Aurelia readily agreed to flee the country after the Empire's defeat at the hands of the rebels appeared certain. Upon taking the throne, she was considered to be a powerless figurehead meant to legitimize the Remnant's authority and existence. Her personal power over her reign was limited, but this reportedly did not faze her, as she considered Marcio Peccatrix a worthy leader of the Empire.
