The Lampshade Galaxy (IPA: /læmp.ʃeɪd/) is the giant barred spiral galaxy in which Sector A1-0 is located. Lampshade has a D25 isophotal diameter of approximately 111,9 kiloparsecs (365.200 light years) and is thought to contain approximately 730 billion stars with an estimated total virial mass of 4.2×1012 standard stellar masses.
