It borders the Weissersteiner Empire, the Twilight Ascendancy, the Regunessian Expanse, the Vandalence Compact, the Veentu Badlands, and the Treecu Star Empire.

The First Warring States period referred to a period of Dovian history, when the many different feudal Dovian states fought for control over the planet Dova (known then as Dräsa meaning soil). Several different factions fought to secure control over the planet's resources. This saw the halting of technological advancements, in favor of military research

Ponvilia War
The Dovian Governorate's efforts to expand its territories through colonization would eventually lead to conflict with a nearby faction the Dovians referred to as the Ponvilian Alliance. The two would enter into disputes over multiple territories, which led to the beginning of a major war between the nascent Dovian Governorate and the Ponvilian Alliance. During the war, Ponvilia, using its superior knowledge in ship designing, nearly wiped out the Dovian Armada, which led to Dovian forces in the frontline without space superiority. However, as Ponvilian forces made their way in an attempt to invade Dovia's frontier worlds, Dovian ground forces, which still maintained high discipline and experience thanks to the Warring States period, defeated the Ponvilian Army and even captured many of the ships that landed. These ships would be used against Ponvilia, and some were reversed engineered to improve upon Dovia's domestic ship designs.
The Ponvilia Alliance would be defeated in a space battle for the first time in XXXX, when the Dovians used fast boarding ships to board Ponvilian vessels, turning the space battle into a ground battle like battlefield, which the Dovians were more experienced in. Boarding ships became a staple of Dovian fleets, and the Ponvilian Navy was wiped out, with nearly all their ships captured or destroyed. Ponvilia would fall following a land invasion in XXXX, which led to the defeat of Ponvilia and the annexation of the Alliance's territories.
Star Kingdom Era
Crowning of Atlan I
With his victory over the Ponvilian Alliance, governor Atlan Samasäaka Sandovï'i would proclaim himself as King of the Dovian Star Kingdom, an act which was supported both by the Dovian Council and the people. His first act was to reorganize the military into a much more effective force, formation of a marine corps for the navy's boarding ships, as well as expanding the benefits of space colonization for the Dovian people. His dynasty would become known as the Samasäaka dynasty, or simply the Dovian dynasty.
