The Militsiya of Pelinai (Pelinese: ミリツィヤ, Miritsiya; Stelossian: Милиция) is the collective region-level police forces of Pelinai as organized under the National Department of Militsiya of the MVD (GDM-MVD). They are tasked with performing general law enforcement, emergency response, and social order tasks at the regional and local levels.

History

Organization

Administrative

All five regional militsiya agencies in Pelinai are administratively subordinated to the National Deparment of Militsiya of the MVD (GDM-MVD), which serves to determine minimum training standards, standardize equipment between agencies, and ensure interoperability both between different militsiya agencies and with other security forces & emergency response personnel. All administrative matters not determined by the GDM-MVD are left to the MVD of each federal region of Pelinai, which also exercises operational control of assigned units; responsibility for funding and equipping militsiya agencies is shared between the federal and regional governments.

Within each militsiya agency, personnel are divided into standardized functional departments as follows:

Department Notes
Patrol Department Responsible for routine patrols, responses to emergency calls, and other similar tasks.
Traffic department Responsible for highway patrols, enforcement of traffic and parking laws, and safety inspections of automobiles & other vehicles.
Criminal Investigations Department Detective department responsible for investigation and resolution of criminal cases.
Special Purpose Forces Department
Motorized Reserve of the Militsiya Responsible for suppression of civil disorder, maintenance of security at events, and early response to terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
Special Tactical Units of the Militsiya Police tactical units for deployment in high-risk situations, particularly those involving armed or potentially armed individuals.

In addition to the above listed departments, the GDM-MVD also maintains a Special Deployments Force consisting of four Motorized Reserve battalions for delegation to regional agencies in emergency situations.

Command over militsiya forces may also be assumed by other Pelinese government entities such as the Royal Pelinese Civil Defense Force, the Royal Pelinese Homeland Guard, or the Federal Security Directorate during critical situations in accordance with the Pelinese Incident Command Structure system.
