Hail to the Conqueror (Pacifica)

Hail to the Conqueror is an Indavral song written by a woman during the reign of the Father States in Ikaranara. The song is a satire of the events after the Father States took control over the dwindling Triangular Empire and started imperialist activities, most notably referencing the 1945 Invasion of Losavra. The song repeatedly reveres the "Conqueror" while only acknowledging the atrocities they have committed, and curses the defenders while talking about the atrocities they were put through. The woman who wrote the song sang it in the center square of Akeros where she was arrested and never heard from again once authorities realized what the song was about. Recordings of the song, however, allowed people to remember the lyrics well after the arrest and it became a staple in resistance movements and was the key song of the Great Revolution. A modified version was proposed to become the Ikaranarean national anthem as a sign of anti-imperialism, but it was feared that foreigners would misinterpret it and think the Ikaranareans were revering imperialists.

It has also been made into an Austral version.
