Screea Defence Defence is a military branch belonging to Screea’s Defence Organisation. It is a integrated armed force tasked with operating under Rehy for defence of its self and allies. It is the sole armed force under Rehy, having 1.5 trillion active personelle, 5 billion reservists, 448’002 ships, and 23 outposts. A Defence Defence member is called a Hya (Eng. Defender), service members have been nicknamed “Ruhruhruh” due to vocalisations made when communicating orders.

The Defence Defence was founded by Syru Scadidy in 50’000 BBT when Screea's military discovered that seasonal weather changes heavily impacted the nations canyon riddled terrain, often leaving assets useless. The Defence Defence was originally tasked with defending Screea’s assets during venerable seasons, a majority of its members hailed from other branches, its equipment mainly consisting of amphibious vehicles, flat bottomed boats, crossbows and spears. However following the First Ssca Conflict, the Defence Defence was reformed, seeing its roles widened, equipment updated and structure reevaluated: by 37’023 BBT Screea disbanded it’s Army and Navy entirely in favour of the Defence Defence. The Defence Defence would on to instigate the formation of Rehy in 9543 BBT, the branch growing to be a powerful military organisation.

Etymologym

From Scayi Hy Hy, the Defence Defence is named so due to its historical purpose.

History

The Defence Defence was founded by Syru Scadidy in 50’000 BBT after Syru was made aware Screea’s military was venerable due to changing terrain. The Defence Defence was initially formed and tasked with defending Screea assets during venerable seasons. Today it serves as Rehy’s military force.

Significant conflict evolvements

First Ssca Conflict

At 40’000 BBT numinous fishing communities where subject to a series of terrorists attacks originating from Ssca. The Defence Denfece was deployed to defend Screea and its neighbours, causing the Defence Defence to engage in the Ssca dispute.

2’000 personnel where initially deployed to protect assets, as it was transitional dry season. It was clear Ssca where taking advantage of Scayikra’s terrain altering weather, and another 2’000 personnel where deployed, with little effect. Following heavy casualties from both Screea’s Army and Navy, significant reforms to the Defence Defence’s structure and role occurred, and Screea decided to prioritise the Defence Defence over other branches. Evidently by 37’023 BBT Screea’s Army and Navy where disbanded, and all equipment was scrapped or modified to be used by the Defence Defence, the Defence Defence also began training former Army and Navy personal.

The First Ssca Conflict also saw the Defence Defence using firearms for the first time, after adapting the technology from stolen Ssca equipment. Ssca surrendered soon after this development at 37’010 as they no longer held an advance over Screea.

Second Ssca War

Ssca suddenly reformed and declared war on on Screea at 28’326 BBT. Zroo Scyzyzy famously stated that the “Defence Defence [was] responsible for the downfall of Ssca” and that “Stealing [Ssca’s] technology wasn’t fair.” 700’102 personnel where deployed throughout this war, and primarily operated on amphibious vehicles and ships as it was wet season.

At 28’325 BBT Scyzyzy ordered 5 naval vessels on a mission to bombard major Defence Defence military base Rudydi, however the mission was unsuccessful as Ssca’s military intelligence had failed to conduct reconnaissance and all 5 ships where rendered immobile by shallow waters. The ships where destroyed by the 4th Naval fleet. Ssca then began relying heavily off aerial dominance and armoured vehicles, prompting the Defence Defence to advance anti-aircraft and anti-armour technologies.

Due to Scyzyzy’s incompetent leadership, the Defence Defence only suffered 18’310 casualties, the war lasting 1.5 years before Ssca’s defeat.

Third Ssca war

The Defence Defence was heavily modernised in 7’153 BBT due to the Third Ssca war, with the development and adoption of interdimension FTL travel, as well as early military space craft and advanced weapons systems. This mostly occurred during a period of Cold War, which lasted 51 years before the Third Ssca war began.

At 7’154 BBT during Cold War, the 17 reconnaissance and 3rd special forces battalions where deployed to remote Eastern Dy in order to determine that state of Ssca oil field labour camps. Reconnaissance proved Ssca had committed war crimes, and upon questioning Zroo Scykykyky declared war on Rehy. The Defence Defence ran counter operations against Ssca special operations forces, and alongside Rehy aided in preventing acts of terror, it was also the first military branch to attempt communication with aggressive Scu group rebels fighting Ssca. The Defence Defence was responsible for locating and destroying 4 major Ssca military bases, including Sscaroo, a naval stronghold.

The Defence Defence deployed 701’923 personelle and after 10 years of war suffered 350’218 casualties. Since the conclusion of the Third Ssca war, the Defence Defence (in cooperation with Rehy), has continued to rapidly advance its technology, recognising the importance of having a technological advantage.

Yeea conflict

At 9556 BBT Yeea began harassing fishing unions with mercenaries due to ideological differences. The unions requested assistance from the Defence Defence and 20’000 personnel where deployed. Tracking down and eliminating mercenaries proved difficult due to a lack of cooperation among Scayikra nations, so Screea foremed Rehy in order to provide better defence. After the formation of Rehy, with greater cooperation among militaries mercenaries where swiftly defeated and the Defence Defence did not see any further terrorist activity in the area.

Headquarters transferral

Deky at the Opal Nebula, state Rukaa, Rehy, 2 BBT

In 7'213 BBT, the Minister of Defence Scyruy ordered the Department of Defence’s headquarters be transferred to ship Deky, as well as ordering Screea Defence Construction to construct two major military outposts on the borders of Rehy's territory, with aid of Kusu. Deky has since undergone significant upgrades, including size and weaponry. To date Screea has overseen the construction 27 military outposts, which are shared among Rehy's member states.

Organisation

The Defence Defence is a part of Screea’s Defence Organisation, with the Defence Defence being the only military branch. The Minister of Defence and Defence assistance have authority over the Syru, the Minister of Defence holding a position in government. The currant organisation of the Defence Defence was legislated in 9556 BBT alongside the formation of Rehy. Until reform military contracted workers had the rank Sce in Workers Corp, having specialised jobs of mechanic, technician, construction worker or scrapper without basic military training. Recruits now must complete basic training then specialised training to become mechanics and engineers. Construction workers and scrappers are now sourced from military contacted unions: Screea Defence Construction is responsible for construction, and Kusu Defence Specialised Scrappers became responsible for scrapping military assets when Kusu joined Rehy in 1932 BBT.

Uniforms

The Defence Defence utilises the same uniform across all ranks, the only distinction between individuals being a rank and name positioned on both arms and keel. The current camouflage pattern used on uniforms is Defence Defence stripes 4, with traditional uniforms being worn for ceremonial and diplomatic purposes.

Defence Defence stripes 4 is the default camouflage currently utilised by the Defence Defence. The iconic striped pattern was originally designed to cause disorientation upon viewing Defence Defence naval vessels, and was first applied to combat armour in 7’153 BBT. Defence Defence stripes 4 was introduced in 3’673 BBT, its purpose to distract the enemy remaining the same.

Ranks

The Defence Defence’s ranks insignia are loosely styled off the Scayi letters that make up their associated title. With the formation of Rehy in 9556 BBT the ranks where simplified, titles became unified across corps, and rank Sce plus Workers Corp where fazed out.

Ships

Ke kra-scrscr: Small planet-space class ships, they are 1m long, have a 1.5m wide wingspan, and are flat. Capable of travelling though both space and atmosphere, they are fully automated fighter drones that prioritise manoeuvrability over fire power. There purpose is to swam structures and ships, counter other fighters, and deter missiles is necessary.

Ky kra-scrscr: Medium planet-space class ships, they are 1km long, 500m high and 700m wide. They accompany larger ships and are the primary ship used to transport Defenders and goods.

Ki kra-scrscr: Large planet-space class ships, they are 3km long, 500m high and 700m wide. They have a plasma based laser on the under side that remains hidden unless firing, it’s primarily used against large ground targets.

Ke scrscr: Small class spaceship, they are 200m long, 100m high and 50m wide. They are capable of interning atmosphere, but are not regularly utilised this way. They are the most common scrscr class ship in the Defence Defence, as their heavy armament but small sizes makes them ideal to produce.

Ky scrscr: Medium class spaceship, 1km long, 500m high and 700m wide. Like Ke scrscr class ships, however larger and more heavily armed.

Ki scrscr: Large class spaceship, are 3km long, 500m high and 700m wide. Like Ky scrscr class ships, but larger and more heavily armed.

Sca-scrscr: God class spaceship, they are circular with flat ends, being 5km at widest, 5km long, and 2km high. Prominent weapons are the two rows of missiles in their roofs, two 200m magnetic kinetic cannons, one hidden on each end.

Ki Sca-scrscr: Large God class spaceship, they are also oval shaped with flat ends, being 10km at there widest, 20km long, and 5km high. Screea’s military headquarters, Deky, is one of these ships. They are heavily armed, having a 500m plasma based laser on their front end, wich is considered a weapon of mass destruction.

Propulsion

Like all Ruka ships, Defence Defence ships have a warp drive and travel with inter dimensional FTL, are powered by nuclear fusion and propelled by antimatter propulsion.

Weapons

Defenders use both ballistics and plasma based weaponry. Which is preferred strongly depends on the type of enemy.

Plasma Cannons: Plasma based weapons, used to destroy enemy armour and hulls. They come in various sizes, size depending on ship class.

Kinetic weapons: Kinetic weapons that utilise electromagnetic acceleration to fire projectiles.

Anti-shield Cannons: Cannons designed to deplete and destroy shields.

EMPs: Used alongside Anti-shield cannons to destroy enemy shields, they also disable electronics. They can be delivered in the form of a missile.

Missiles: High explosive rockets, designed to penetrate enemy armour and hulls.

Defensive counter measures

Regular shields: Shields are dispersed by nodes on ships and outposts, they are a protective blanket against energy and plasma weapons, they’re made of charged plasma that’s attracted to the Armour plating.

Gravitational shields: Shields that form a gravitational field and repels kinetic weapons. When in use kinetic weapons from the ship cannot penetrate them, to counter this specific sections are turned off to create openings.

Anti Air cannons: Cannons designed to target and destroying incoming missiles and drones. AA can be kinetic or plasma based.

Amour plating: Magnetised armour plating designed to deter kinetic weapons. Can only use so much energy before depleting, once depleted it acts as regular armour.

Automated scanners: Automated scanners are an AI capable of detecting and scanning anything unrecognised that comes within a 110km of them. They detect possible weapon types, organic and inorganic life, shields, and location. They are effectively an advanced RADAR.

Borders outposts: Border outposts are the largest of Rehy’s outposts, they have 4 arms that branch out from a center, each being 5km long. Screea oversaw the construction of the border outpost Rooru-4. Like all outposts they are shared between Rehy members. They are armed with a variety of weapons and defences.

Medium outposts: Medium outposts are evenly placed around Rehy’s territory. They have the same shape and defences as border outposts, however there arms are each 2km long. Screea oversaw the construction of 11 medium outposts.

Small outposts: Small outposts can be found throughout Rehy’s territory, generally between medium outposts. They have the same shape and defences as other outposts, but each arm is only 1km long. Screea oversaw the construction of 16 small outposts.

Planetary bases: Screea has developed 6 planetary military bases, including Deeroo. Planetary bases act as planet sized military barracks, they are heavily defended and are a place where all military ships can dock.
