The Most Serene Republic of Rocova, also known as La Serenissima, is a powerful and sovereign mercantile republic located in the Southern Continent. Centered around the prosperous city of Rocova, which is connected to the mainland of the Southern Continent through a series of bridges, artificial towers, and small islands, creating a large complex of fortresses which protects the city from naval threats. Due to the extensive trade networks established by Rocovan merchants and diplomats, the Republic also possesses a strong navy to defend its existing trade routes from pirates and rivaling trade powers.
Established in the [X]th Century by the Three Saints as a bastion and stronghold for Vera Fides, the city of Rocova would eventually expand from its coastal territories (Metropolitanus Rocovium) to the coastal cities of Messino and Nicaea, before eventually acquiring the rest of its mainland territories (Dominia Continentis or Continentale Rocovium). Eventually, through diplomatic and military efforts, Rocova managed to extend its power into numerous emporiums and commercial ports, ensuring its prominence in maritime trade.
