New Sol, also known as Nusolsys or Adah'reshit, is the capital star system of the  Terragen Empire. Located at the very center of the Inner Sphere, New Sol was the first system reached by the extragalactic colonization mission of the terragens through the Trans-Kuiper Topological Defect, and as such some of its settlements and orbital habitats predate the very empire itself. Over the millennia the entire system was heavily transformed from its original state, and indeed nearly all of its natural celestial objects have been dismantled relatively early on, with only a few remaining. In fact, the entirety of New Sol is a nearly perfect artificial reconstruction of the Solar System as a whole: the only exceptions to this are the asteroid belt of the original solar system, which has instead been replaced by an orbital band of habitats, and the central star of the system itself, which has been converted into a matrioshka rose surrounded by a vast dyson swarm. This vast megastructure is known as the Rose of Sol, and acts as Tree of Life's main processing node within the system, as well as New Sol's primary "star".

The system has a total population of 6.967 trillion, primarily clustered in the planetary atmospheres and orbital space of New Jupiter and New Saturn, as well as multiple habitat and computronium lagrange point swarms in the inner system, all of which have populations numbering in the high billions or even trillions. Two other notable population clusters are located on the planetary surfaces of New Earth and New Mars, both numbering at around 400 to 500 billion residents.

Transportation within the New Sol system is provided by one of the most sophisticated systems in the known Sector. A large swarm of void bubble gravity tugs, known as the Shepherd, lifts and moves transport pods at high speed, while protecting their passengers from the associated acceleration forces. Using this system, it is possible to reach any point in the system within a standard hour. This same system controls the path of any interstellar vessels that may enter the system via normal space, and provides transport to and from New Sol's five wormhole connections. These wormholes, all oribiting at exactly 120 AUs from the center of the system and having a throat diameter of 100 kilometers, connect to some of the most important, developed and populated systems of the Inner Sphere and the empire as a whole. They are:

New Sol is one of the empire's biggest convergence points for all Terragen species and clades, and is therefore an enormous melting pot of thousands of different culture groups, religions and philosophies, even more so than many of the Inner Sphere's systems and provincial capitals of the Middle Regions. Many institutes, megacorporations and other associations have their headquarters or otherwise major branches, offshoots and divisions in the system due to its vast population, sociopolitical importance and cultural relevance.

Rose of Sol

The Rose of Sol, alternatively known as Sol or Sun, is a matrioshka rose with a total mass of approximately 2×1030 kilograms (or 1 standard stellar mass) and a total orbital diameter of 1.4 million kilometers. The central conversion system of the megastructure powers a vast array of high efficiency plasma processors, which in turn radiate the waste energy of their computations to a surrounding cloud of orbital processing elements that effectively functions as a dyson swarm. Therefore, the swarm cloud is capable of redirecting portions of the inner Rose's radiated energy to a power redistribution system that transmits energy to all planets and megastructures in the star system.
