The Office of World Assembly Legislation is an Office within the Government of the South Pacific. It is responsible for the facilitation of WA decisions within the South Pacific. The Office is currently composed of approximately fifteen members of staff. The Office is led by the Director of the Office of World Assembly Legislation, often abbreviated to (Director of OWL).

Functions

The Office of World Assembly is primarily responsible for the recommendation of WA votes in the South Pacific. The staff of the Office of OWL help to facilitate the debating and voting by WA member nations within the South Pacific, staff members may also actively encourage debating between nations of the South Pacific. After debating has taken place voting will then take place, after voting the Director of OWL will then issue a statement and a WA recommendation for that specific piece of WA legislation. It is then advised that all member nations follow this recommendation. The Delegate of the South Pacific will also follow the advice and recommendation pushed out by the Office and vote accordingly.

Director of the Office of World Assembly Legislation

The Director is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and running of the Office. They are also responsible for communicating between staff members of OWL, member nations of the South Pacific, the Delegate of the South Pacific and members of the Cabinet. The Director is also responsible for posting and pushing out the agreed and voted WA recommendation debated and voted by members nations of the South Pacific.
