=== Frost Empire artist withdrawal ===
Frost Empire's artist Kevin "Kay" Shinano was supposed to participate in the contest in a duet with Mei Natsukawa in the original taping of the song "Nada sousou", Shinano fell ill shortly before the start of Pacivision and staff were unable to fix the credits of the song due to the timing of his illness.

===Graphic mistakes===
During the presenters listing the show's running order, the graphics switched Sedunn and GI-Land which draws 06 and 07 respectively. The mistake was corrected by the commentators and the recap later that evening showed the correct running order.

2021 ← Pacivision Song Contest → 2023

The Pacivision Song Contest 2022 was the 2nd edition of the Pacivision Song Contest. Following the Sedunnic victory in the 2021 contest in Südtor, GI-Land with the song "Never wanted this to end" by Illkrom Blenienn and Rila Jok, the Pacivision Executive Board (PEB) has accepted hosting bids from all countries eligible to participate. The bid for Gralois, Ikoania won the bidding phase. Organised by the PEB and the host broadcaster Ikoanian Avarez Television Broadcasting (IATB), the contest was held at the Century Arena. The final was held on the 28 February 2022. The final were be presented by Ikoanian presenter Estella Casvellez, Singer Marco Zarez and Actress Polla Altez.

Eleven countries participated in the contest, with Arnchow, Esfalsa, Frost Empire and the host country Ikoania participating for the first time. Eareamland, Mauquibie and New Itomorii have announced their non-participation due to several reasons.

The winner was XX with the song XX.

Location

Century Arena, Gralois - host venue of the 2022 contest.

The 2022 contest will take place in Gralois, Ikoania, following the country's bid. It is the first time that Ikoania hosts the contest, as well as the first Pacivision to be held in Bailtem. The selected venue is the 9,500-seat Century Arena, which serves as a venue for events and has annually hosted the Live IATB TV Awards.

According to the rules, the host broadcaster of the winning song would receive the first rights to host the next edition of the contest, but this rule was introduced after the conclusion of the 2021 edition. Sedunn did not enter a submission, hence not becoming the next host.

Bidding phase

On 20 September 2021, PEB launched the bidding process and published a list of criteria and requirements for the host city and venue. Interested broadcasters were to submit bids on behalf of the city through postal means, after which PEB would proceed to send all of them a bid book with more detailed requirements for the cities and broadcaster to submit their plans for review. The cities had until 26 October 2021 to draft and submit their detailed plans.

On 22 September 2021, on behalf of the city of Gralois, Ikoania officially announced its bid, proposing the Century Arena as a possible venue to host the event.[1] Over the following weeks many countries expressed interest in hosting the event.

Until 26 October 2021, no other city or broadcaster has presented a bid book to the PEB, thus Gralois was announced as the host city of the 2022 contest on 2 November 2021.[2]

Incidents

Frost Empire artist withdrawal

Frost Empire's artist Kevin "Kay" Shinano was supposed to participate in the contest in a duet with Mei Natsukawa in the original taping of the song "Nada sousou", Shinano fell ill shortly before the start of Pacivision and staff were unable to fix the credits of the song due to the timing of his illness.

Graphic mistakes

During the presenters listing the show's running order, the graphics switched Sedunn and GI-Land which draws 06 and 07 respectively. The mistake was corrected by the commentators and the recap later that evening showed the correct running order.
