Politics in Eflad reflects the dynamics of competition among multiple political parties, which led to the formation of a Reformist-Green-Liberal coalition government for the first time in April 2022, following the snap elections of 02 April 2022, and the election of a completely new political figure to Prime Minister.

Eflad is a democratic and federal parliamentary republic, where federal legislative power is vested in the Sænat (the parliament of Eflad) and the Föderales Konzil (the representative body of the Staaten, Eflad's regional states).

Following the end the Great War and re-establishment of Eflad as a sovereign state, the left-wing Socialist Party of Eflad (SPE) and the non-classical Technocratic Party (TP) dominated politics and public life for decades, with only one additional party—the Liberals—playing a significant role at the national level. More recently, the pattern of two-party dominance withered with the rise of newer parties, such as the Greens and the RE!.
