History

Formation

By the year 920 A.D there were three nations in the lands that would become Akarina. Akai, Austro, and Corvus.

In the years 1806 to 1812 the nation of Akai invaded both Austro, and Corvus who were then under direct control from the royal house of Quirin.

After Formation

The Royal family let the newly annexed territories to keep their language, culture, and traditions to keep good relations.

this went on until 1851.

The end of absolute monarchy.

On January 25th 1851 Emperor Izumi Quirin voluntarily gave up absolute control of the country and chose to share power with a democratically elected prime minister.

Introduction of Socialism.

On February 5th 1862 the idea of socialism came to Akarina, but did not cause a fully socialist state.

Instead the economy became a mix of socialism and capitalism.

The paix era.

By the time the Great war happened Akarina was neutral and did not participate in the war, but they built up their military strength during this time, building up the naval strength to protect their merchant ships, and army to protect their borders.

After the war Akarina joined the CPSC on February 2nd 1966. The paix era came to an end when the first Akarinan nuclear test took place on December 19th 1966 in the Tatchi strait.

Cuisine

Each Province has their own cuisine different from the others.

Akai

Akaian food consists of mostly seafood and rice such as: Sushi, Sashimi, Fugu, Ramen, Udon, and Shrimp Fried Rice.

Corvus

Corvun food usually consists of Potatoes, Rice, Tomatoes, Pasta, Cheese, and Lobster.

Austro

Austrun Food has a lot of Meat, Cheese, Bread, and Mustard.

Nature

Akarinan wildlife is mostly birds, and reptiles. Akarina is home to over 600+ Species of birds!

There is also a strange phenomenon where birds have claws, snouts, and a long bony tail.

The Akarinan Squirrel-bird is a good example, It has a coat of orange and white striped fur-like feathers, it has a toothy snout, three clawed arms instead of wings, and a very long bony tail. They are about the size of a cat and eat a wide variety of food these include: plants, nuts, seeds, fruit, and small animals. They are very intelligent and play an important role in the ecosystem by carrying seeds, and nuts across the forest causing significant plant growth. Some Farmers consider them pests because of their tendency to eat their crops, but despite this some people keep them as pets due to their intelligence and playful personality.

But there are also very dangerous creatures that will make a meal out of you.

For example the newly discovered creature known as the Nachtraptor is the apex predator of it's environment, not much is known about them but here is what we do know: they have dark feathers, are about 8 meters long, have a large sickle shaped claw on each foot, are nocturnal, have a tooth filled snout, a long bony tail , and large hand claws on it's wings.
