Anneliese Bow (born 31st October 1987) is a Vrignyan politician who serves as President of Vrigny since the 17th of March 2024. She was also previously Minister of Infrastructure Development and Public Transport during the second Lorena Ballons Government, from 2016 to Lorena Ballon's resignation in 1st March 2024.

Anneliese is the leader of the Green Party of Vrigny (GPV) since the start of the democratic transition after the fall of the Stratocracy in 2014. She belongs to the liberal wind of the GPV, in contrast to the centrist and radical wings.

Personal life

Anneliese Bow was born in 1987 in Lifov in a family of Alman immigrants. Reinhard and Anna Bow, originally from Eflad, moved to the Stratocracy in 1981 for business and work-related opportunities with the High Command of the dictatorship.

Her father, Reinhard, was a pharmacologist who worked with the Stratocracy-founded pharmaceutical company Arixez, and her mother, Anna, worked as an Alman elementary teacher.

Anneliese had an older brother, Frank Bow, which served in the Vrignyan Armed Forces during the Stratocracy, and passed away due to an accident during a military practice in the year 2000.

Childhood

Anneliese had a relatively privileged childhood, at least compared to other Vrignyan families during the 80's Stratocracy. She attended the Lifov North Seafront Elementary school, where her mother also worked.

During her early childhood, she initially struggled to make friends due to her Alman origin; her family spoke Alman at home so she struggled to learn the Vrignyan language at first. She learned to play the piano and also participated in several swimming competitions.

Teenage years

After graduating elementary school, she attended the Lifov Sea-Military Institute, which was were her brother also had his secondary education. During her middle and high school years, she fought countless times against her parents, even having to resort to sleeping outside or at a friend's home for several days, due to her opposition to the military curriculum.

This opposition eventually led her to getting kicked out of the Lifov Sea-Military Institute, which also prompted her parents to kick her out of the house. She then worked as a cashier, and with the money she also earned from some swimming competitions, she managed to rent an apartment with her best friend Klara Nusxe.

During what would have been her senior year at high school, she studied and prepared for the VPUA (Vrignyan Public University Access) exam, and managed to score enough mark to study Medicine in the Lifov General University.

Education/University years

Anneliese Bow attended the Lifov General University to study Medicine for 6 years, graduating in 2010. During her education, she secretly joined the remnants of the Green Party of Vrigny with her best friend Klara Nusxe in 2006.

She led several silent protests during her education, such as hanging anti-Stratocracy posters and propaganda all over the campus of the Lifov General University and the city overall. She also led several limited protests as an activist against the environmental contamination and militarism of the Stratocracy, being detained several times for a short time.

Career

After her graduation in 2010, Anneliese Bow began her job as a general, family doctor, in the Lifov-Eastern Hospital. Her work as a medical worker was short, though, as she also intensified her activism and protest measures against the Stratocracy, which led to her arrest in 2012, together with her friend Klara Nusxe.

Anneliese Bow and Klara Nusxe were sent to the Rijeke Prison Complex indefinitely. They were both experimented on by pharmaceutical companies and tortured by prison guards. After the fall of the Stratocracy in 2014, 2 years after their initial arrest, Anneliese Bow was released from prison after her crimes were derecognized and absolved. Klara Nusxe did not survive.

Political career

Leader of the Green Party of Vrigny

After being released from the Rijeke Prison Complex, Anneliese Bow returned to Lifov and reorganized the Green Party of Vrigny. With the GPV now being a public party, she ran as a possible presidential candidate for the GPV in the August 31st election. The GPV only came third in the election, but Anneliese Bow kept her rule as the leader of the GPV.

Member of the Parliament of Vrigny

Following the August 31st election, Anneliese Bow was elected as one of the 80 GPV MPs. During her terms as MP, she often pressured the SPV and LPV to implement ecological measures and controlled the budget dedicated to urbanization and further industrialization. Her main measure was to force and implement the creation of a Ministry of Infrastructure Development, which was eventually fused with the Ministry of Public Transport.
