Operations

Objectives

The founding treaty of the BIIB defines its purpose to be the furtherance of economic development and regional economic connectivity in Bailtem and its surrounding areas through the financing and project support of infrastructure construction and other similar programs. Support for projects is to be furnished through the issuance of loans, grants, and/or assistance with capital raising efforts such as equity and bond issuances, as well as through secondary services such as project technical & management consulting.

The Bailtemmic Infrastructure Investment Bank focuses on providing funding and other services for both hard and soft infrastructure, including:

  • Agriculture: Primarily improvements such as rural transportation infrastructure, food inspection facilities, and agricultural supply distribution infrastructure.
  • Education: Primarily facilities, such as the construction or expansion of primary, secondary, and tertiary education institutions.
  • Healthcare: Primarily construction of hospitals and purchases of durable medical equipment.
  • Logistics: Primarily construction, maintenance, improvements, and extensions of logistics and transportation infrastructure, such as roads, railways, seaports, airports, rail terminals, pipelines, metro systems, and canals.
