Maluhia is a Legislator of the Coalition of the South Pacific. They have served in multiple governmental capacities, including as a Legislator, Ambassador, and Minister. They ran for Prime Minister in the October 2022 Cabinet election and also for the November 2022 Minister of Engagement special election.

Early activity

Maluhia started off in the South Pacific as an active regional message board (RMB) user. They’d engage in conversation with fellow regional residents, welcome new players, and occasionally enforce unofficial warnings to nations who were violating the RMB rules, set by the Local Council.

Entrance into government

In May 2022, Maluhia applied to be a Legislator of the Assembly of the South Pacific. They quickly offered their perspective in notorious Assembly debates, and casted votes when an act, amendment, or approval vote was brought to the floor.

Maluhia joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was appointed the as the Ambassador to Lazarus by then-Minister HumanSanity.

Candidacy for Ministry of Engagement

Maluhia announced their intent to run for Ministry of Engagement in the June cabinet elections. They lost to Coral Guard member and Associate Justice of the High Court, Gryffindor.

Ministry of Culture

Still eager to run a ministry, Maluhia geared up and launched a campaign in the July 2022 Minister of Culture special election. They campaigned on cooperation, roleplay assistance, and on the continuation of planning marquee events and festivals for residents of the South Pacific to enjoy.

After winning the close election, which saw a whopping five candidates declare their intent to run, Maluhia took office. As Minister, Maluhia oversaw a Ministry-planned banjection contest, a writing program, and the establishment of Te Ao, a game side modern-world roleplay region. At the end of their term, they appointed ProfessorHenn, a Legislator, former Ministry of Regional Affairs staffer, and candidate in the July special election to the Ministry’s Senior Staff body.

After ultimately deciding not to run for reelection, ProfessorHenn ran uncontested and won in the first round.

Maluhia still remains active in the Ministry of Culture.

October and November 2022 Cabinet elections

After previously deciding not to run for reelection as Ministry of Culture, Maluhia opted to run for Prime Minister. However, they dropped out and ran to be the chief of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs instead. They placed second in the election, sandwiched between the victor, Sandaoguo, and third-place finisher and future Minister of Defense, Webs.

Amid the resignation of Doge Land as Minister of Engagement, Maluhia announced their candidacy for the post. They lost to Pronoun.

The World Assembly

Maluhia has been active in the World Assembly drafting process.

General Assembly

Although none of the resolutions Maluhia has drafted in the General Assembly have passed, they are still active in the body’s regular debate and they occasionally look over resolutions that are in the drafting phase and provide feedback to the author or authors.

Security Council

Maluhia is more active in the Security Council, where they have authored one resolution. Along with co-authors Concrete Slab and Quebecshire, the trio passed the council’s 422nd resolution, Commend Kringalia. The resolution aimed to commend fellowSouth Pacifican, Kringalia, for their tireless work to improve the South Pacific and uphold democratic values.

Maluhia often provides feedback to proposals in the drafting process on the official forums.

Gameplay

Maluhia is a member of the South Pacific Special Forces, where they serve as a soldier in both the Tsunami and Tidal forces. They hold defender-aligned views in the gameplay realm.

Second Minister of Culture term
