The Prydonian Civil War was a civil war fought in the Kingdom of Prydon following the Great War between 1955 to 1957. The war was fought between the Royal Prydonian Army and other mobilised forces under the Loyalist Faction, and the Revolutionary Forces, united under the Prydonian Communist Party led by Pyotr Karadzhov. The conflict begun as a general peaceful insurrection by farmers and rural workers, caused by economic depression and famines, but turned violent after the Royal Army responded with force, and the radicalization of the youth through Karadzhov's rallies.

The Revolutionaries began a guerilla campaign in the south of the country up until the last year of the conflict, in 1957, when they gained enough support and turned their strategy to an all-out offensive. Karadzhov won several important battles, including the Battle of Leatan in September of 1957, and the decisive victory at Fentrilie which concluded the Belaya Campaign and ends with the fall of Lasvorn. Despite Weissersteiner financial and armament support, the loyalist cause could not mobilize enough forces and losses cannot be replaced. Loyalist defense of Lower Prydon eventually collapsed, and Prydon's capital, Aetrinun was captured in 17th of December, 1957. Loyalist Forces capitulated at the same day, effectively ending the war. The war led to the founding of the Prydonian Socialist Federation.
