Supersymmetry cloud (A1-0)

Supersymmetry cloud is a novel active ship shielding system currently in use on Treecuu military ships. Supersymmetry is used to instantaneously manipulate particles that are spread around the ship in a "cloud" in such a way that incoming projectiles or beams are destroyed or deflected. The manipulation is done on partner particles onboard the ship in a "control matrix". Compared to the more traditional displacement field shield, the supersymmetry cloud is believed to protect better against objects at warp. The system requires an enormous amount of energy and can only be used while stationary or at warp, not at subliminal speeds.

The system also has experimental use as a part of the cloaking system.
