The War in Past was a short, brutal war in North Cordilia, in the nation of Past which was a struggle of armed insurgents supported by the Reizen Independence Movement against a coalition of Ikaranara and Ryccia, and later the Pasten Liberation Army (PLA). The war claimed an estimated 100,000 lives.

Beggining of the war

Seige of Ralton

On may 10th of 2022, the first battle against the Insurgency started as an Ikaranarean Reserve Guard garrison near Ralton fought against Insurgents trying to overtake the city. Eventually, the Reserve Guard were forced to besiege the city. This is widely considered to be the first battle of the war, but may 13th is considered the official start due to the Ikaranarean announcement. The seige lasted 27 hours and resulted in around 5,000 casualties.

The Brief Terror

The Brief Terror is classified as May 11th after Past declared a state of emergency through the 13th when Ikaranara declared the situation in Past. This time was classified by terror and uncertainty as the Insurgents steamrolled western Past in a coordinated effort. It is estimated that around 3,500 people died during these two days.

The Red Wave

The Red Wave signifies the disturbing quickness in which Pasten Territories were captured before intervention. Around 7 provinces were taken by the Insurgency before Ikaranarean and Ryccian troops got on the ground in Past and 2 major ones behind the front lines were looking to join. 3 provinces in the middle were surrounded and actively working tirelessly to resist the Insurgents battling in the region. This is where the PLA was founded.

The red wave is thought to be the event that spurred on the creation of the Pasten Liberation Army which eventually became the official military of Past. Resistance from the insurgents continued from the Pasten militia for 6 days before Ikaranarean and Ryccian troops landed in Past the 22nd of May.

Reinforcements arrive in Past

Ikaranarean and Ryccian troops landed in friendly airports the 22nd of May 2022 and began their march on the occupied territories where they engaged in a number of bloody battles. Progress was slow until PLA counter-insurgents showed up
