The Warlord Era (Clashonian: Krigshêrr-Éra) was a period within the history of Clashonia where local military and regional factions controlled large parts of Clashonia from 1923 to 1942. The period was marked by civil unrest, political instability, and constant clashes between different factions throughout Clashonia.

The period began following the signing of the Armistice of Bérnberg, where Weissersteiner forces during the War of 1919 retreated to the areas of the General Governments of North Bannarsia and Röngau and Vorgrüntal. This left a vacuum of power within the region and saw dissatisfied army officers of the Armed Forces of the Union State to establish their own polities throughout the region. The new Republican government's failure in the Sténmann Offensive also led to the newly formed Clashonian Republic to lose large portions of its territories to regional warlords. These military commanders would form military cliques and rule the regions as warlords (Clashonian: Krigshêrr). The Warlord Era was marked by constant wars between these factions, the largest being the August Expedition in 1921, which saw the Clashonian Republic's army fight a multi-front war against a coalition by the Wöhlsbûrge and Graszbirn cliques. In 1941, during the Weissersteiner Civil War, Clashonian forces would launch an offensive to the territories of the Wöstläant and Wéisklarfe cliques, alongside the Weissersteiner General Governments in the north. This marked the complete unification of Clashonia under the Clashonian Republic.
