Caer Rialis was the first Delegate of the South Pacific to hold the position for over a year, from 20 February 2005 to 3 March 2006. Their second term as Delegate lasted from 11 April to 7 July 2006.
Early career
Caer Rialis was founded in March 2003 and joined the off-site forums in July.[1]
In April 2004, Caer Rialis penned the bill that introduced Election Commissioners into South Pacifican law.[2] When The Shaft became delegate in July 2004, leaving the position of Secretary of Foreign Affairs vacant, Caer Rialis was appointed as successor.[1] He was re-elected in late July 2004 with a 95% majority,[3] and re-elected again in September,[4] but did not run in January 2004.[5] During his tenure, the South Pacific formed the United Democratic Pacifics alliance with the North Pacific and the West Pacific, and formed a non-aggression pact with the People's Republic of the Pacific.[6]
Caer Rialis was appointed as interim Secretary of Defence in early February 2006.[7]
First delegacy
The Shaft resigned as delegate on 20 February 2005, and Caer Rialis became delegate.[8]
Caer Rialis won the position of Secretary of Silly (now Craziest) in the December 2005 general elections.[9]
During Caer Rialis' delegacy, tensions rose as Baxterite continually criticized the government. He challenged for the delegate position but was ejected for alleged multying.[10] This was disproven, and Baxterite returned after the ban was lifted, continuing to criticize Caer Rialis as part of the establishment of the South Pacific.[11]
In February 2006, Goddessness challenged Caer Rialis.[12] Rather than an election, Caer Rialis decided to step down, resigning on 3 March.[13]
Second delegacy
Caer Rialis became Prime Minister in the April 2006 general elections.[14] However, their term was cut short when Goddessness stepped down from the Delegacy on April 10 2006. As the nation with the second highest endorsement count, Caer Rialis succeeded her as delegate.[15]
Caer Rialis appointed Fudgetopia as Vice Delegate in late April 2006, with the Assembly confirming this appointment.[16]
In May 2006, The Radical Defender challenged Caer Rialis for the delegacy, but went too far over the endorsement cap and was ejected as a threat.[17]
In July 2006, Caer Rialis resigned from the delegate position, appointing Fudgetopia as successor.[18] Fudgetopia became in-game delegate on 7 July 2006.
Later career
From October 2006 to March 2007, Caer Rialis served as Minister of Foreign Affairs.[19] During his term, the Invisionfree servers hosting the forums crashed, and posts from March to November 2006 were permanently lost. Caer Rialis called a Great Council in January 2007 to reconstruct the laws of the South Pacific after the crash.[20] He was elected as Minister of Justice in September 2007,[21] and was re-elected to the position in April 2008.[22]In the South Pacific Annual Awards 2007, Caer Rialis was recognised as Most Valuable Player.[23]
Caer Rialis was elected as Minister of the Region in the August 2008 general elections.[24] He served as Minister of the Region until March 2010, defeating Todd McCloud in the November 2008 elections.
The nation ceased to exist in March 2012.[25]
