Holy Free, officially the Kingdom of Holy Free (Freian: Koninkrijk van Frei Heilsi) and formerly known as Free, is a sovereign state whose territory consists of mainland Holy Free in northern Cordilia and the overseas province of Holsani in western Rainbow Islands. Mainland Holy Free is bordered by the Sea of Frost in the north, Berusterg in the south, Besern in the east and T.S.S.S. in the west. With a size of 164,283 square kilometers (63,430 square miles). As of 2023, the estimated population is about 15 million. Holy Free is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy with its capital in Lordina.
Etymology
The name Holy Free is an exonym, originating from maps by Austra. After the Royal Decree for Union of 1813, the royal cabinet sent a letter notifying Austra to the change of name from Frei to Frei-helsi. But due to error in translation and miscommunication, the cartographers of Austra mark the nation as Holy Free.
The endonym Frei-helsi is a compound of the Kingdom of Free and the Free State of Helsi. (More TBA)
