Besern, officially the Federal Republic of Besern, is a sovereign state whose territory is located in northern Cordilia. Besern is bordered by the Rainbow Sea in the north, Holy Free in the west and the South Pacfic Ocean in the east. Besern's territory consists of a size of 355,835 square kilometres. (137,389 square miles).

As of 2020, the population is about 3 billion. Besern is a federal parlimentary republic of 18 states with it's seat of government in Brient, one of the country's largest city and main cultural and commercial centre.

Etymology

The name for Besern comes from the Haoench language word 'Basernia', which itself derives from the Hacknerian word "Baria" or civilization, brought over from the Old Incursion.
