The legislative branch is composed the Congress of the Republic, itself composed of two houses, the upper house is the Council of Regions, headed by the Principal Councillor and the lower house is the National Convention, headed by the General Representative. The General Representative is also de facto First Congressist. The Judiciary is composed of the Supreme Court of Justice, headed by the Principal Supreme Judge.
