The XYZ Affair

The XYZ Affair was the delegate of the South Pacific for a short period in June 2003.

She was a member of the Atlantic Central Command and had been present and endo-swapping in the South Pacific for some time in June 2003 . In mid-June, a game glitch caused Goddessness to lose over 400 endorsements, and The XYZ Affair became the new delegate on or before 13 June, causing a suspension of the planned elections. Site administrators were alerted but took no action.

The XYZ Affair ejected many nations, including previous delegate Goddessness, for several days. On 18 June, a South Pacifican resistance pushed The Fathoms Below into the delegacy. This resistance included future delegates LadyRebels and Tsunamy, with support from other regions including the West Pacific. The Fathoms Below was inactive for several days before again ejecting nations, claiming to be hacked and under the control of the XYZ Affair ; though some suspected The Fathoms Below retained control and used The XYZ as a scapegoat.

The XYZ Affair was ejected from the South Pacific by The Fathoms Below. The nation was last active onsite on 18 June 2003. Accounts vary on whether she was banned from the game or if she simply went inactive. If banned, it was not immediate, as the nation was still alive on 24 June, at which point it had left the United Nations.
