Arcana is the third largest city in the Livanan Confederation as well as the largest city in the state of Northern Liv. It is currently serving as the capital of the state of Northern Liv, being the seat of the Governor's Office, as well as the state's legislature, the Northern Council. Arcana is known as the center of Livana's renaissance movement in the 15th and 16th century, and became the political center of the Kingdom of Arcana, a powerful mercantile feudal state that dominated the Mediterranean Sea until it's demise in the 19th century. The city built on an island inside the Arcanan Lagoon, and uses water as its main transport infrastructure. Consequentially, the city boasts many beautiful historic buildings in its Old Citadel and waterfront, as well as ancient education centers such as the Arcana State University. Due to this uniqueness, Arcana became the second most visited municipality in Livana after the Livanan Marina.
