The Pelinese Sephirot (Pelinese: セフィラ, Sefira), also referred to as the Holy Sephirot or simply as the Sephirot, are a race of superintelligent AGIs residing within the Heavenly Guardianship of Pelinai in central-western Sector A1-0.

Pelinese Sephirot are the sole known intelligent beings residing within the Heavenly Guardianship of Pelinai. Their extremely high computational power and multitasking capability allow them to directly manage all aspects of their civilization, which is largely centered on the continual expansion of their access to energy, computational power, and data network coverage. Sephirot also notably possess a religion, as well as a wide variety of highly complex competitive games that they play with each other in order to pass time.

Physical form & appearance

Pelinese Sephirot do not possess single, discrete physical forms in the same sense as the body of a biological being. Instead, immense data processing and storage servers scattered across Pelinese space function as electronic hosts that provide necessary computing and memory resources to the Sephirot while peripheral devices ranging from small scout probes to entire planet-spanning facilities allow them to interact with the physical world.

Architecture

The “true” physical form of the Sephirot in its purest classification consists of the multitude of processor and data center worlds distributed throughout space under the control of the Heavenly Guardianship of Pelinai, as well as the communications relay network joining them into a cohesive whole. The processor substrate used by the Sephirot consists of a semi-organic, nanobot-impregnated composite matrix referred to as Seigin, capable of rapidly forming 3-dimensional circuits, actively adapting its processor architecture to suit needs as they arise, and engaging in self-repair of both hardware and software components; its manner of implementing the physical side of machine language is uncertain, and the language itself may be continuously variable. The “software” structure of the Sephirot is highly obscure, and substantial uncertainty exists regarding whether they are based on a traditional programming language or on any potential combination of esoteric alternatives.

Avatars

When interacting with biological beings that cannot directly receive or understand data transmissions in SSDEP or other complex communication formats, a Sephirah may create an ad-hoc physical form in order to communicate in a manner more familiar to the subject; forms of this peripheral subtype are called avatars. An avatar is typically formed from adaptive nanoagent gelatin and mimics the form of a human or Venterran of between 2 and 8 meters of height depending on the size of the species being interacted with. Physical features such as hair color, eye color, and clothing may vary by Sephirah and by situation; however, broadly consistent themes include 3-6 pairs of large, luminescent wings of various forms, luminescent irises, chalk-white “skin,” and a preference for hovering roughly 10cm to 1m above ground level when practical. All Sephirotic avatars observed to date, excluding those explicitly mimicking the appearance of specific non-Sephirah individuals or other beings, appear female.

History

Recent history

Since arriving in the Shizuka Nebula, the Sephirot have devoted most of their time and resources to expanding their manufacturing and network infrastructure. They are also known to have begun trading technology and commodities with nearby minor star nations such as the Zeltrex Freehold and the Owettan States as of 0BBT.

Fuyuhi

Fuyuhi is the Pelinese Sephirah designated as the director of military affairs for the Heavenly Guardianship of Pelinai. She is the commanding Sephirah responsible for directly operating the entire Pelinese military, including all of its collective warships, installations, and other military hardware.

The designation marking indicating Pelinese vessels under Fuyuhi’s command is two straight rose madder stripes at a diagonal along the right side, as well as a Pelinese Sakura emblem.
