Syd G Patton (born July 5th 1971) in The City of New Sorthane, is a politician in Nasphilitae, serving as 23rd Speaker and 21st Head of Government in Nasphilitae as the founder and leader of the largest Neo-Dorothianist (Liberal conservative) Center Party and political party in Nasphilitae, after the 2024 general elections. He was a former high-ranking member of the P3 Coalition's Pragmatist Wing and participant of the Overthrow of Innsbolts government, formally being a member of LP Taylors "Suhavenster Circle". During the overthrow, he resigned from his former position as the Chief of Law Enforcement Department in Agorport, moving to Suhavenster, in protest to Innsbolts regime. Life in Suhavenster during the Transition period (2019-2023) provided him with connections to like-minded individuals (most which were also former members of the Pragmatist Wing in P3), which aided in the quick establishment of the highly-organised and ruling Center Party. Unsurprisingly, Syd's background lineage is composed of renown academians, evident by his parents and grandparents memberships in the P3 Coalitions' Pragmatist Wing as far back as the 1930s. Syd's great grandfather, Gratian Patton, was one of the founders of the Pragmatist school of thought in Nasphilitae during 1880s-1900s. Subsequently, the Patton family adapted the "G" middle-name in honour of Gratian Patton.
Syd G Patton earned his BA in Criminology at the University of New Sorthane in 1996., presenting his Post-graduate Specialisation thesis "Criminal pathology is premediated violent crime" before the University in Agorport. Syd would be employed in Agorports' Law enforcement Department from 1998 to 2019. Over his career, he rose from the ranks of Junior Investigator to Chief of the Department. Since 2019., he's worked as a Private Investigator. Impressively, he's one of the few police officers to pursue and succeed in obtaining the IRMAC License, a pre-requisite for registering as a Private Investigator which is recognised internationally. Regarding his career, he noted on several occassions the reasoning behind specifically pursuing Criminology and criminal pathology, mainly "Deep dislike for uniforms in general, but disdain for police uniforms and their effect on people".
His colleagues in law enforcement have described him as deeply cynical and having a "depressing" view on human nature; clarifying not to "take Syds dark humour a malice, but as a coping mechanism". For context, Syd G Patton earned his position as Chief of the Citys Department due to relentlessly pursuing inhumane and disturbing cases. On the complete opposite, his colleagues from the Suhavenster Circle, the Center Party and even members of opposition parties, describe Syd as "willing to negotiate and do so successfully, providing solutions which somehow satisfy everyones interest". His comment to the latter statement is that it was precisely the reason for why he pursued a political career. Syd G Patton married Lara Patton in 1997. with whom he has five children (Melissa, Pauline, Ignatia , Cecil and Quiuntus).

Following the 2024 general elections, Syd G Patton took the Center Party to victory in the second-round elections for the Lower House, allowing them to form the first ruling government coalition democratically elected since 1988.
